Can I DONATE my used media? Yes. Recoup more of your original expense with our donation program. Some companies have now decided to DONATE their surplus new and used tape inventories instead of selling them. We work closely with several local non-profit organizations to make this an easy and viable option.
This option may allow your organization to recoup a larger percentage of the initial expense of the media. Consult your local tax preparation professional or accountant when choosing this option to determine the maximum amount of your tax deduction. Donations may also be made to the non-profit organization of your choice.
What do I have to do differently to DONATE our media? Nothing. Submit your list of media as usual and choose the “donation” option. We will take handle the rest. We will still take care of the shipping and data eradication. You will still receive your Data Destruction Certificate. The non-profit organization will receive the donation based on the all ready agreed upon rate per usable tape. This is definitely the most environmentally responsible way to recycle your media while still being able to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
